Conditions of partizipation
Regulations 2016
REC for Kids takes place from the 14th to the 18th of September 2016.
We invite all young filmmakers to take part in the REC-Filmfestival Berlin. Everyone from age 6 to 15 who has made films – on his own or in a group – is welcome to participate in the REC-Filmfestival Berlin. The age of the filmmaker in the year of origin of the production matters. Multiple entries are allowed, provided that the film was made between 2014 and 2016. There is no thematic or formal restriction, nor limit of length. The films should be in english language or english subtitled. (For submitting an english dialog list will also do, but for screening we need an english version or english subtitles.) We do not charge entry fee.

Submit every film on a separate DVD or BluRay, signed with film title and your name, accompanied by the completed entry form until the 19th of June 2016. Fill in the entry form at: filmfestivals4u.net print it out, sign it and enclose it with each film entered. Send it with your film to:

Also it is possible, after submitting your data at filmfestivals4u.net, to provide your films as downloads. Deadline is also the 19th of June 2016.
(Download-links have to be valid until the end of the festival. For viewing we need standard-files like mpeg4, or h264. Please no Gigabyte-monsters – if we will select the film for the program and we need a higher resolutuion, we will contact you.)

All postage for all submissions of preview material to the REC-Filmfestival must be paid by the submitter. Preview copies will not be returned. All shipments from non European Union member states must be sent with a customs declaration on the packaging stating the following: ‚For temporary, cultural purposes only – no commercial value‘.

By submitting a film the presenter declares to be the owner of the rights in the work submitted. The presenter accepts that the data of the films will be published (for example in catalogue and program) and that a short film scene could be published for festival-presentations (for example in a festival-trailer).
All declarations concerning the film and its producer (for example age of filmmaker and year of producing) have to be true. If that is not the case, the decisions of the selection committee and the jury can be retracted.
With the submitting form and the signature the presenter accepts the regulations.

Jury and awards
An independent committee will preselect the films taking part in the competition. The competition is international, differed in two age groups: 6 to 12 and13 to 15. A jury will award the three best films with an award.
All decisions by the pre-selection jury and the festival jury are final and may not be contested. Film makers whose entries have been selected for competition will be informed by email only. Therefore, please make sure to provide a valid email address with your submission. If the producers of awarded films are not present at the awarding ceremony, they will be informed by email. If money is combined with the award, it will not be paid, if the winner is not present at the awarding ceremony (if the expenditures for travelling are reasonable, for example for participants from Berlin and Berlin-region).

For every film that will be in our program we can offer free accommodation for one filmmaker during the festival. For further guests we can arrange cheap accommodation on request.
